Bode Agusto is the founder and a non-Executive Director of Agusto & Co. Limited, the leading credit rating agency in Nigeria. He is an independent researcher and consultant on economics, finance and business strategy.
Bode was made a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) by President Obasanjo in 2002 for his contributions to the Nigerian economy and subsequently served as Director-General and Adviser on Budget Matters to the president during his second term of office. Bode has over three decades of experience in the private and public sector including thirteen years of which he spent in PwC, where he left as a partner. Before PwC, Bode worked in Citibank Nigeria as an Assistant Vice President.
He was also a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee and a Non-Executive Director of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Shell Nigeria Pension Fund. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. He has acted as an adviser to many companies in Nigeria.
Bode is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He possesses an Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and a degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos.
