Verification Officer

DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Head of Operations

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely completion of all verifications and reporting in compliance with the outlined processes.
  • Conduct detailed background checks of champions and their guarantors.
  • Timely follow-up and closure of assigned verification checks.
  • Delivery of confidential documents.
  • Gather information and evidence through face-to-face interviews.
  • Ensure champions’ data and reports are complete, accurate and consistent.
  • Conduct verification on matters entrusted to the team.
  • Gather recorded statements and documentation.
  • Organize all the collected data and information.
  • Making deductions from several information sources at the various verification locations to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of the information being verified.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum of OND in any Business-related discipline.
  • In-depth geographical knowledge of the local environment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of working experience in credit risk or field verification is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE (examples/guidelines as stated below)

  • 2-3 years experience in Accounting

  • In-depth geographical knowledge of the local environment.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to speak the native language is an added advantage

  • High level of initiative.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
